Nagpur Woman Techie Dies by Suicide, Highlight's Fake Video and Threats in Note

Nagpur – A 28-year-old woman software engineer died by suicide at her home in Nagpur, leaving behind a note alleging harassment, threats, and being falsely implicated in a conspiracy involving a fake video, police said on Thursday.
The woman, who worked for a software firm in Pune, had returned to her hometown around 15 days ago. She was living in the Mankapur area with her father, brother, and sister-in-law.
On Tuesday morning, when only her father was at home, she asked him to go out and buy breakfast. In his absence, she ended her life by hanging herself.
Police said they recovered suicide notes written in both English and Marathi. In the notes, the woman blamed two individuals – Ritesh and Pratim – for her death. She also mentioned that her roommate had issued death threats to her.
According to the note, her mobile phone had been stolen at Indore airport on 5 March. She said she tried to register a complaint, but the police allegedly refused to do so, citing the absence of a mobile purchase bill.
She further claimed that a fake video using her lookalike was being circulated in an attempt to defame her. She denied making any religious statements and alleged that some people were trying to frame her.
Police have registered a case of accidental death and have begun an investigation into the claims mentioned in the note.
