Nagpur Youth Cheated of ₹3.50 Lakh by Woman and Her Friends

Nagpur Crime Case : A young man from Nagpur was tricked into losing ₹3.5 lakh by a woman and her two friends. The incident came to light when the victim, Kaustubh Keshav Kubde (27), from Dhangawli Mandir, Jagannath Budhwari, filed a complaint with the police.
Kaustubh became friends with Shivani Dilip Khapekar (24), who lived at Bharat Mata Chowk, between November 2023 and April 2024. They often spoke on the phone, and Shivani told Kaustubh she was facing financial problems due to loans from banks. Feeling sorry for her, Kaustubh took a loan of ₹3,47,989 from a finance company and gave the money to Shivani to help her.
However, when Kaustubh later asked for his money back, Shivani, along with her friends Mehul Vijay Parate (24) and Pratik Singh Gajendra Singh Solenki (24), refused to return it. They even threatened and insulted Kaustubh.
Realizing he had been tricked, Kaustubh reported the matter to the police. A case has been filed against the three under various sections, like Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). including cheating and intimidation.
The police have arrested Shivani and Mehul, and they are searching for Pratik. Investigations are still ongoing.
