Nagpur’s Heavy Downpour Leads to Waterlogged Streets and Power Outages
Nagpur, India: Nagpur was hit by heavy rainfall on Thursday evening, leading to significant waterlogging in low-lying areas and causing traffic jams throughout the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate rains for Friday across Vidarbha, including Nagpur.
Areas particularly affected by the downpour included Antuji Nagar, Bhandewadi, Hiwari Nagar, Wardhaman Nagar, Hudkeshwar, and Kalamna. The heavy rain brought with it thunderstorms and lightning, resulting in waterlogged roads at major junctions, which contributed to traffic delays.
