Nagpur, India: The road from Sahakar Nagar crematorium to the airport has turned into a dumping ground, causing concern among residents and morning walkers. Once a clean and scenic area, it is now filled with household waste, empty liquor bottles, and even used condoms, raising worries about illegal activities happening there.
Morning walkers had named this place ‘Natural Oxygen Park,’ but now it is being misused. Many visitors leave behind trash, and the space behind shops has become a spot for drinking and littering. The road, usually quiet in the mornings, becomes a hub for suspicious activities in the evenings, with vehicles parked along the roadside.
Residents have also added to the problem by dumping household garbage in the area. When contacted, MIHAN India officials said the road falls under the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC), but MADC officials could not be reached for comments.
Currently, the road is closed to four-wheelers between 5 AM and 8 AM for morning walkers. However, local residents are urging authorities to take action and clean up the area.
