Nagpur’s Vineet Nair Commissioned into IAF Technical Branch at AFTC

Nagpur, India: Flying Officer Vineet Nair from Nagpur has been officially commissioned into the Technical Branch of the Indian Air Force. The commissioning took place during a recent passing-out parade at the Air Force Technical College (AFTC) in Bengaluru. The parade was reviewed by Air Marshal C.R. Mohan, AVSM, VSM, Air Officer-in-Charge Maintenance and Commodore Commandant of AFTC.

A total of 63 officers, including 10 from allied foreign nations, graduated from the prestigious institution. Vineet Nair, who hails from Nagpur, completed his schooling at Modern School, Koradi, and earned a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering.

Vineet’s journey to becoming a Flying Officer was marked by significant achievements, including his active involvement in the NCC Army Wing at 3 MAH ENGRS COY NCC Unit, where he earned his C Certificate. His leadership skills, honed through NCC and sports, played a crucial role in his success during the SSB interview and the rigorous training at AFA and AFTC.

In addition to his academic and professional accomplishments, Vineet is a talented football player and artist. He represented his school and college in various competitions and was recognized with the Best in Small Arms award at AFTC, Bengaluru.

Vineet attributes his success to the unwavering support and guidance of his family, including his father, Raju Nair, former PRO at MOIL, his mother, Vijaya Nair, his elder brother, and his friends.
