Narayana Vidyalayam Shuttlers Secure State Meet Qualification
Sairaj Nayse and Shreyas Kuthe led Narayana Vidyalayam, Chinchbhavan to victory in the Under-14 Boys DSO Divisional Badminton tournament at the District Sports Complex in Gondia on Saturday. In the final, they defeated DSO Nagpur Rural champions MKH Sancheti Public School with a score of 2-0.
Sairaj secured a crucial victory by defeating Aarav Thakre with scores of 15-13, and 15-7 in the first singles match. He then teamed up with Shreyas Kuthe to win the doubles match against Aarav Thakre and Naitik Patel with scores of 15-11, 12-15, and 15-11, clinching the championship.
Having previously won the DSO NMC title in Nagpur a few weeks ago, Narayana Vidyalayam has now earned a spot in the upcoming state tournament scheduled for next month. Alongside Sairaj and Shreyas, Devansh Hingnekar played a key role in the team's success, with sports teacher Yogesh Dhiman serving as the team's coach.
