Nation welcomes the Indian Cricket Team on the streets of Mumbai
On Thursday, July 4, 2024, in Mumbai, the captain of the Indian cricket team that won the T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma, holds the championship trophy and thanks the supporters during their open bus victory parade.
The Indian cricket team made its way to Wankhede Stadium from Marine Drive in Mumbai, where they had participated in an open-top bus victory parade.
The players were welcomed with great enthusiasm as they arrived at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport earlier in the day.
Team India arrived in Mumbai for a BCCI felicitation celebration at the Wankhede Stadium in addition to going on an open bus trophy tour of the city after meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier in the morning in New Delhi.
The felicitation celebration at Wankhede Stadium was free of charge for supporters of the Indian squad, subject to availability. Starting at 4 p.m., the Wankhede Stadium gates were opened.
