NEERI and Gondwana University Sign MoU for Environmental Research

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur, and Gondwana University. This agreement aims to foster joint educational and research projects focused on environmental protection.

The MoU was established to encourage research among students and provide research facilities to students from the University and its affiliated colleges. The primary objective is to leverage the expertise of scientists for the overall development of students in the Gadchiroli district.

The signing ceremony took place at NEERI in Nagpur, with Prashant Bokare, Vice-Chancellor of Gondwana University, serving as the keynote speaker. During the event, Dr. Bokare emphasized the responsibility of all citizens to maintain environmental and ecological balance for future generations. He highlighted the urgent need to prevent the depletion of natural resources and raised awareness about the environmental harm caused by human activities.

Notable attendees included Dr. Atul Vaidya, Director of NEERI; Dr. Nitin Labshetwar, Chief Scientist; Dr. M.P. Patil, Principal Scientist; Dr. Lal Singh, Principal Scientist; Prakash Kumbhare, Member of the Management Council of Gondwana University; Swapnil Dantulwar, Assistant Professor; Dr. Prashant Thakre; and Dr. Nandkishore Meshram.
