NMC Launches ₹17.47 Lakh Project to Install LED Lights Under Narendra Nagar Bridge
Nagpur, India: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has launched a project to improve the area beneath the Narendra Nagar flyover by adding better lighting. Named “Landscape Development By Electrification,” the project will cost ₹17.47 lakh and aims to make the area safer and more attractive.
NMC has decided that only licensed electrical contractors registered with its Lighting Department can take up the work. The project includes installing steel poles, LED lights, and other electrical equipment to ensure bright and long-lasting lighting.
Contractors who wish to participate must pay a non-refundable earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹17,500. The selected contractor will also need to keep a security deposit equal to 2% of the total project cost.
The work is expected to be completed within 120 days. After that, there will be a one-year defect liability period, during which the contractor must ensure all lights and installations work properly.
This project is part of NMC’s efforts to improve urban spaces and make Nagpur’s roads safer with better lighting.
