NMC Takes Action Against Officials for Ignoring Citizen Complaints
Nagpur, India: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Commissioner Abhijeet Chaudhari has taken steps to address the failure of officials in handling citizen complaints. Pramod Wankhede, the Assistant Commissioner of the Dhantoli Zone, and two other officials have been issued show-cause notices for neglecting their responsibility to attend to these complaints.
There have been several reports about clogged sewer lines in the Dhantoli Zone, yet the officials have failed to take any action. This ongoing negligence has caused growing frustration among citizens, who are unhappy with the Municipal Corporation’s lack of response to their problems.
The Nagpur Municipal Commissioner has begun holding officials accountable for their lack of action. Show-cause notices have been issued to Assistant Municipal Commissioner Pramod Wankhede, Executive Engineer Anil Gedam, and Deputy Engineer Ashish Talewar for not taking the necessary steps.
Furthermore, departmental inquiries have been suggested for Deputy Engineer Prashant Sonkusare (Mangalwari Zone) and Pravin Kotangle (Gandhibagh Zone) due to their inactivity.
