Is Ritika Maloo Absconding? No Legal Hurdle in Arrest After High Court Bail Rejection
Nagpur, India- The police have dispatched a search team to locate Ritika Maloo in Rajasthan and other locations after clearing all legal obstacles for her arrest. This follows the decisions of the district and sessions court and subsequently, the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court, both of which refused to grant her pre-arrest bail in connection with the Ram Jhula accident case of February 24.
Today, the police withdrew their application seeking permission to arrest her under Section 304 of the IPC, and search parties have been sent out. Assistant Public Prosecutor Rashmi Khaparde confirmed that Maloo no longer has any legal protection and that the police have full authority to take her into custody.
Senior Police Inspector Sandip Buwa had initially applied for permission to arrest her with JMFC V.V. Deshmukh on May 25. This step was taken after the district and sessions court denied Maloo's anticipatory bail plea on May 24. Following this, Maloo approached the High Court, challenging the lower court's decision and requesting bail, but her plea was also denied.
However, since she was on bail will police take action against the person who has signed surety for the bail in case ritika maloo keeps on absconding?
