Notorious Gangster Sonu Wasnik Murdered in Nagpur’s Rambagh
Nagpur, India: Notorious gangster Sonu alias Deepak Vijay Wasnik (44) was brutally murdered in the Rambagh area late at night. His killing has created fear in the locality.
Sonu Wasnik had over 70 criminal cases against him in Wardha, including robbery, attempted murder, and extortion. He was earlier jailed under the MPDA Act but was released recently. However, old enmities led to his death just a day after his release.
Sonu had come to meet friends in Rambagh and stayed with his relatives. Later, he went out drinking with some acquaintances. While drinking, he got into an argument with his old friend Akash Prafull Meshram (27). The fight quickly escalated, and Akash, along with his associates, attacked Sonu with stones. He was hit on the head with a large rock and died on the spot.
After the incident, Imamwada police reached the spot and arrested Akash Meshram. However, the other attackers managed to escape. Police have launched a search operation to catch them.
This murder adds to the growing crime rate in Nagpur. The increasing number of violent incidents is a major concern for residents and the police. Authorities are now under pressure to take strict action and improve law and order in the city.
Police are investigating the case and searching for the other suspects involved in the murder.
