Notorious Pickpocketer Caught at Mahakumbh Prayag Yog in Reshimbagh, Nagpur

Nagpur, India: A notorious pickpocketer named Wahid was caught by Kotwali police while attempting to steal from attendees at the Mahakumbh Prayag Yog event in Reshimbagh. He had previously been involved in multiple thefts at Nagpur Railway Station.
Due to the large crowd at the event, the police were on high alert. The Mahakumbh Prayag Yog, held at Reshimbagh Ground on February 15 and 16, features various spiritual ceremonies, including the arrival of sacred ‘Sangam Jal’ from the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. The event commenced on February 15 at 7:30 AM with a Rath Yatra, carrying the holy water urn (Jalkumbh) and the Padukas of revered saints.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari led the Maha Aarti at 1 PM, with State Cultural Minister Ashish Shelar also present in religious Event . In the evening, at 6:30 PM, singer Kailash Kher mesmerized the audience with a devotional music performance.
The event will conclude on February 16, with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis leading the Maha Aarti at 9:30 AM, followed by a virtual Satsang at 5 PM and the final Maha Aarti at 6:30 PM.
Kotwali police have arrested Wahid and are investigating whether he was involved in previous pickpocketing incidents at Nagpur Railway Station. They have also urged attendees to remain vigilant against such crimes during the large gathering.
