Nursing Student Dies After Consuming Contaminated Panipuri
At the Government Medical College (GMC) affiliated nursing college, a student tragically passed away during treatment after consuming panipuri. The popular street food took a toll on the student's health, causing a rapid deterioration that ultimately led to her demise on Thursday night. The exact cause of her death is yet to be determined, pending the availability of the post-mortem report.
According to information gathered by the GMC doctor, the student ventured out on the evening of July 3 and indulged in panipuri. Upon returning to the GMC hostel, she expressed feeling full and refrained from further eating. However, shortly after, she began experiencing episodes of vomiting. Despite seeking medical assistance from the outpatient department the following day, her pain persisted. Initially hesitant to be admitted to the hospital, she eventually acquiesced and was admitted on July 5. Sadly, her condition continued to worsen, leading to her untimely demise.
Questions have arisen regarding the possible contamination of the panipuri she consumed, potentially causing poisoning. An investigation is underway to address this crucial concern and shed light on the circumstances surrounding the student's tragic death.
