Ojas Deotale is set to receive a cash award of 2.5 crore rupees
The Maharashtra government has announced cash awards for the state's medal-winning athletes at the 19th Asian Games in China. Ojas Deotale, a 21-year-old archer from Nagpur who secured three gold medals for the country, will receive a cash prize of Rs 2.5 crore.
Ojas earned his gold medal in the individual category, entitling him to Rs 1 crore, along with Rs 75 lakh each for winning gold in the mixed team event and the men's team compound event.
In accordance with the State Government's decision, a General Resolution (GR) has been issued, providing Rs 1 crore for individual Asian medal winners and Rs 75 lakh for the team gold medal.
