On KK's 55th birth anniversary, his daughter Taamara, writes an emotional tribute to her father
Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, often known as KK, celebrated his 55th birthday, and his daughter Taamara posted a touching message on social media. Taamara posted a nostalgic photo and wished her late father, singer KK, on her Instagram account. Taamara writes, "Happy birthday, dad. I love you more than words could ever express. Thank you for returning to life, at least in my dreams, for I miss you so badly. I wish we could have cake together once more."
On the occasion of his birth, Bollywood celebrities as well as his family paid tribute to the singer. Rakul Preet Singh uploaded a photo of him with the song Dil Kyun Yeh Mera by KK playing in the background. Writing in her journal, she said, "Remembering the magical voice of KK today and everyday."
On May 31, 2022, KK, who is most remembered for his songs Tadap Tadap from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Khuda Jaane from Bachna Ae Haseeno, Aankhon Mein Teri from Om Shanti Om, Zindagi Do Pal Ki from Kites, and others, passed away. He was playing at Nazrul Manch in South Kolkata when he became ill, necessitating an ambulance ride to the hospital, where staff members immediately pronounced him dead.
KK sang more than 500 songs in Hindi and more than 200 songs each in Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam throughout the course of his nearly three-decade-long career. Additionally, he garnered other awards, including two Screen Awards for Best Male Playback Singer (Non-Film Music) among others. In 1991, KK wed Jyothy Krishna, his childhood sweetheart, and the two became parents to Nakul and Taamara.
