On Wednesday, PM Modi will speak at the LS Rally in Kanhan
Overcast skies loom over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's planned public gathering on Wednesday at Kanhan, near the intersection of Nagpur and the Ramtek Lok Sabha constituency. On Tuesday evening, severe rain and wind caused havoc in Nagpur. For the next three days, hailstorms are expected in the Vidarbha region, according to the Regional Meteorological Department.
Modi is expected to speak at the public gathering at 5:00 p.m. In the past ten years, this is Modi's first election meeting in Nagpur. He gave speeches to Nagpur residents on a few occasions, but not when elections were taking place. Both Raju Parve of the Shiv Sena from Ramtek and Nitin Gadkari, the BJP's candidate for Nagpur, are running.
A few days prior to the poll declaration, MLA Parve departed from Congress and joined Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena from Ramtek fielded him, displacing incumbent MP Krupal Tumane.
Sunil Mendhe, a BJP candidate from Bhandara-Gondi, will also be present at the election event. Along with Gadkari and Parve, the meeting in Kanhan will be attended by State Unit Chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde, and Krupal Tumane.
