Over 4,000 Police Personnel Deployed in Nagpur for Holi Security

Nagpur, India; In a bid to maintain law and order during Holi celebrations, Nagpur Police have tightened security across the city. Authorities have set up blockades at 40 key locations to curb criminal activities, monitor hooliganism, and crack down on the illegal liquor trade.
Major Security Measures:
- Increased Police Presence: Over 4,000 police personnel have been deployed across Nagpur to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration.
- Checkpoints & Surveillance: Police and traffic teams are conducting strict checks at multiple points to prevent drunk driving and public disturbances.
- Action Against Criminals: Two women involved in the illegal liquor trade have been banned from the district for six months. Police have also intensified their monitoring of known offenders.
- Strict Warnings Issued: Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Singal has warned that any negligence in controlling crime or the liquor trade will result in disciplinary action against station officers.
