Plastic Factory Fire Causes ₹40 Lakh Loss in Arvi, Firefighters Battle Blaze for Four Hours
Vidarbha, Arvi, India: A fire broke out at a plastic factory in Jamb town, Arvi tehsil, around 10:30 pm on Tuesday, resulting in a ₹40 lakh loss. The fire brigade worked for four hours to extinguish the blaze.
According to reports, Girish Shyamsundar Rathi owns a plastic factory in Jamb town, Wardha district. Around 10:30 pm, local residents noticed the fire and promptly alerted the fire brigade of the Arvi Municipal Council.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and attempted to contain the blaze. However, as the fire spread quickly, additional fire tenders from Ashti Nagar Panchayat were called in. Together, they managed to bring the fire under control after four hours of effort.
Factory owner Girish Rathi estimated that machinery and materials worth ₹40 lakh were destroyed in the fire. The rescue operation was led by Naresh Akhare, with Baban Bawankar, Shivaji Chimote, Arun Pandya, and others actively participating.
