Nagpur, India: PM Modi and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat to Attend Bhoomipujan of Madhav Netralaya on Gudhi Padwa

Nagpur, March 18 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat will attend the bhoomipujan ceremony for the new Madhav Netralaya centre on March 30, the auspicious occasion of Gudhi Padwa (Hindu New Year). The ceremony will begin at 10 AM at the project site in Wasudeo Nagar.

The new centre is named after Madhav Sadashivrao Golwalkar, the second Sarsanghchalak of RSS. It is being constructed on 5.83 acres of land, covering an area of 5 lakh sq ft. The centre will feature 250 beds, 14 Outpatient Departments (OPDs), and 14 Modular Operation Theatres.

The ceremony will also be graced by Swami Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Madhav Netralaya is renowned for providing high-quality eye treatment services using advanced technology and has gained a strong reputation over the years. The Madhav Netralaya project began in 1995 and has been offering excellent healthcare services since then.

The second phase of the project, for which the foundation stone will be laid by Prime Minister Modi and Dr Bhagwat, has been running an OPD at Wasudeo Nagar for the past two years.

Gudhi Padwa, which marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year, adds to the significance of this ceremony. The bhoomipujan is especially important as Madhav Netralaya is one of the ‘Seva Prakalps’ of RSS, which is celebrating its centenary this year.
