PM Modi Lays Foundation Stone for Madhav Netralaya’s New Centre in Nagpur

Nagpur, India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Madhav Netralaya’s Premium Centre on Hingna Road, Nagpur, on Sunday. The event was held digitally and attended by RSS Chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and other dignitaries.
PM Modi praised Madhav Netralaya for its work in providing eye care services for over 30 years. He said the new centre would help improve eye care services in Central India. He highlighted that Madhav Netralaya not only brings light to people’s eyes but also reflects the values of dedication and service.
Before the event, PM Modi visited Reshimbag Smruti Mandir and paid tribute to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Deekshabhoomi. He also spoke about India’s progress and highlighted recent reforms such as changing colonial laws and renaming Rajpath as Kartavyapath.
RSS Chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat said that Madhav Netralaya is inspired by the values of the RSS and praised its volunteers for their selfless work. He added that the new centre would bring better eye care services to the region.
CM Devendra Fadnavis said that sight is a precious gift and Madhav Netralaya has been helping people regain this gift for many years. He expressed hope that the new centre would become an important institution for eye care in Central India.
A souvenir titled ‘Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya’, showcasing Madhav Netralaya’s journey, was released by PM Modi during the event. Several RSS leaders, ministers, and other dignitaries attended the ceremony.
