Police Arrest Suspect for Possessing a Knife in Kalamna Nagpur
Nagpur, India: A swift operation early on December 30, 2024, has been unfolded in Kalamna, a man held for keeping a large knife.
The Kalmana Police arrested a man for possessing a deadly weapon. Between 1:30 AM and 2:30 AM, the police investigation team was patrolling the area when they received reliable information about a suspicious individual. Acting on the tip-off, the team detained the suspect near Orange City Bar, close to Kalman Market, and conducted a body search.
During the search, police found a large knife concealed in the suspect’s waist. The suspect, identified as Atul Vanwas Wete, 30, a resident of Laxminagar, Kalman, Nagpur, was immediately taken into custody. The knife, valued at ₹500, was seized by the police.
The accused was caught carrying a dangerous weapon in violation of a prohibition order. Police have filed a case against him under Section 4/25 of the Arms Act and Section 135 of the Police Act. He has been arrested, and further investigations are underway.
