Police Arrest Suspects in Attempted Robbery in MIDC
MIDC police arrested six men suspected of planning a robbery near Hingna T-Point, Nagpur. The arrests happened around 8:15 PM when officers spotted the group acting suspiciously near a vehicle by Navrang Bar. When police approached, the men tried to flee but were quickly caught.
A search of the suspects and their vehicle uncovered weapons, including an iron sword, three knives, an iron rod, and a nylon rope. The police believe they were preparing for a robbery.
The suspects have been identified as Satvir Surendra Harde (22), from Harihar Nagar, Besa; Pawan Rajesh Arya (21), from Manish Nagar; Sandeep Bharat Verma (23), from Mahakali Slum; Jitendra Gajendra Behra (32), from Digdoh, MIDC; Kaushik Sanjay Sawant (23), from Somalwada; Prafull Raju Meshram (22), from Ajni; In addition to the weapons, the police seized a Maruti van worth ₹7,01,550.
A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. All suspects are in custody, and the investigation continues.
