Police Boost Security in Sensitive Areas of Nagpur for Friday Prayers

Nagpur, India: Security was increased in Nagpur on Friday to ensure peace during the Friday prayers in the holy month of Ramzan. This comes after recent violence in the city. Extra police officers have been placed outside all mosques to prevent any trouble.
Violence broke out on Monda. To stop any further violence, police have tightened security in sensitive areas.
Muslim leaders in Nagpur have condemned the violence and demanded a fair investigation. They believe that quick police action could have stopped the situation from getting worse.
On Thursday, community leaders requested Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to meet leaders from both communities to restore peace.
Dr Mohammad Awes Hasan, a community leader, said that some people have been trying to provoke the Muslim community by raising the issue of Aurangzeb again and again. He pointed out that the community has stayed peaceful and has no connection to Aurangzeb.
While many appreciated the police efforts to bring peace, some leaders said that innocent people might have been arrested during the investigation.
The authorities are now keeping a close watch on the situation to make sure that peace is maintained.
