Police Raid in Gangajamuna: Two Women Arrested for Prostitution Racket
Nagpur, India- On Wednesday, the Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Crime Branch raided a prostitution den in the notorious Gangajamuna area, rescuing three females, including a minor.
According to police sources, the SSB officials had received confidential information that a woman named Deepa was coercing women and girls into prostitution for money. Around noon, the police raided Gangajamuna, behind Lal School near the Bajrang Cycle Stand. They apprehended Deepa Raju Kanchan (50) and Neelam alias Guddi Dhanavat (55), both from Uttar Pradesh, who were operating the prostitution ring. Several customers were also found on the premises.
The operation was led by an SSB team consisting of Police Inspector Kavita Isarkar, Police Constables Sachin Badiye and Laxman Chaure, Naik Police Amaldar Ajay Paunikar, Sameer Shaikh, Police Amaldar Nitin Vasne, Kamlesh Kshirsagar, Lata Gawai, Aarti Chavan, and Poonam Shende.
