Police Raid in Margsur: ₹11.82 Lakh Worth of Liquor Seized

The Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Nagpur Rural Police raided an illegal liquor factory in the forest area of Margsur village on Wednesday. The police seized fake liquor and other materials worth ₹11.82 lakh. Two people were arrested, while the search for three others is still ongoing.

During the raid, the police discovered a large amount of illegal liquor-making equipment. This included two bottle cap-sealing machines, 1,600 boxes of fake liquor, large drums of spirit, and 4,500 empty plastic bottles. All these items were used to produce and sell fake liquor.

The police arrested two suspects—Mithun Mahadev Shah from Chankapur and Pankaj Kumar Bechain Singh from Bhanegaon. They were handed over to Kondhali Police for further questioning. Meanwhile, the police are still searching for three more accused—Vishal Shambhu Mandal, Rajendra Yadav (both from Chankapur), and Sagar Singh from Talegaon.

Police Team Behind the Raid

The raid was led by Senior Police Inspector Omprakash Kokate, along with officers Kishore Sherki, Jeevan Rajguru, PSI Ashish Singh Thakur, Pramod Tabhane, Sanjay Bante, Iqbal Sheikh, Rahul Patil, and Sumit Bangde.

The police are continuing their investigation to catch the remaining suspects and stop the production of fake liquor in the area.
