Police Seized ₹9.38 Lakh Cash During Election Time in Wardha District
Vidarbha, Wardha, India: The local Crime Branch of the Rural Police Department in Wardha district seized a total of ₹9.38 lakh in cash in two separate incidents on Friday, amidst the State Assembly elections in Vidarbha, Bhandara, India. In one case, while conducting routine patrols, the police found ₹25 lakh in possession of a person in Dhamangaon Railway. Since the individual could not provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the money, it was seized. The individual is a resident of Dhamangaon Railway.
In another incident, a person in Chandur Railway had ₹4.38 lakh in cash seized when he failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the money. The individual, a resident of Chandur Railway, was questioned by local authorities. This action was taken under the guidance of SP Vishal Anand, led by Deputy Inspector Md. Taslim. Additionally, the local Crime Branch conducted four separate operations, resulting in the seizure of ₹27.16 lakh in cash.
