President Draupadi Murmu to Inaugurate Ramayana Cultural Center in Nagpur City
Nagpur City is delighted with anticipation as President Draupadi Murmu is set to inaugurate the grand Ramayana Cultural Center today. The centre, established by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, promises to captivate visitors with its unique presentation of the epic Ramayana in a pictorial form.
Spread across an extensive three-acre site, the Ramayana Cultural Center boasts a majestic two-story building designed in the traditional South Indian style. The first floor is dedicated to showcasing scenes from the timeless epic, meticulously arranged as a collection of various pictures. A total of 108 paintings grace the gallery, taking visitors on a visual journey from the wisdom of Maharishi Valmiki to Tulsidas's remarkable rendition of the Ramayana. To ensure accessibility for all, information about the events and personalities depicted in the pictures will be provided in Hindi, English, and Marathi.
Stepping into the centre, visitors will be transported into a regal ambience reminiscent of a palace. The interior decoration exudes elegance, while the colour scheme, sound system, and lighting arrangement enhance the overall immersive experience.
Ascending to the second floor, visitors will discover a fascinating picture gallery paying homage to the valiant contributions of Indian revolutionaries in the fight for independence.
