President Murmu Condemns Cowardly Attack on Army Convoy in Kathua
President Droupadi Murmu strongly criticized the recent terrorist attack on an Army convoy in Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a cowardly act that deserves strong condemnation and decisive action. The attack resulted in the deaths of five Army personnel and injuries to several others.
Expressing her sympathy for the families of the soldiers who lost their lives, President Murmu praised their bravery in the ongoing battle against terrorism. She also offered prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured in the ambush.
Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane assured that the government would not let the killing of the Army personnel go unpunished, vowing to defeat the perpetrators responsible for the attack. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh echoed these sentiments, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of the soldiers and emphasizing the armed forces' determination to restore peace in the region.
