Race 4 Announced: Salman khan or Saif ali khan
While we all love sequels, not all of them workout great and some even turn out to be grave disappointment. On of such is Race 3 which faced backlash by audience for poor performance. The film had Salman Khan in leade. It’s considered one of the worst films in Salman’s career. However, there's an exciting update regarding the next installment. Yes, Race 4 is officially in the works!
The first two installments of Race were directed by the veteran duo Abbas-Mustan, featuring Saif Ali Khan as the protagonist, and Akshaye Khanna and John Abraham in 1 and 2 as antogonist respectively. Race 3 was taken over by Remo D'souza as directed and led by Salman Khan. The film grossed a whooping 169 crores collection despite being panned by critics. While this crash made us believe that there will be no Race 4, now, producer Ramesh Taurani has shared that the script for Race 4 is ready. Now we just want to know who will lead this one.
In an interview with PTI, Ramesh Taurani said, “The script is ready for the next Race installment. We will announce the casting of the film soon. The cast will be new. I can’t comment on whether Salman Khan will be part of it or not. It will go on floors by the end of the year. It’s not decided yet who will direct it.”
He also mentioned that a sequel to Soldier is in the pipeline. For those unaware, Soldier was released in 1998, starring Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta, and was a huge commercial success.
Given the success of the first two Race films, it will be interesting to see if Saif Ali Khan returns as the protagonist, potentially replacing Salman Khan.
