Raghav Bhangde, the Karate Kid of Nagpur, breaks Records
At the RTMNU synthetic track on Sunday, nine-year-old karate student Raghav Bhangde broke the previous record by walking 100 meters barehanded in 1.43 seconds.
Dr. Madhvi Mardikar, Dr. Sharad Suryawanshi, Dr. Dhananjay Welukar, the former director of the Department of Sports and Physical Education, and national yoga player Dhanashri Lekurwale were among the jury members who were enthralled by him. Members of the MPCC General Secretary Mujib Bhai Pathan Sanjeev Sharma, MLA Vikas Thakre, former corporator Dr. Pariniti Fukey, Dr. Subhash Choudhary, Vice-Chancellor of RTMNU, President of Veda Vasudev Pratishthan Ajit Dada Tukhdev, and a number of others.
He gave full credit for his achievements to his parents, Advocate Sahil Bhangde (father) and Trupti Bhangde (mother), during a conversation with Raghav. Raghav added that he anticipates even greater success in the days to come. He has been trained under the skillful guidance of his instructor, Vijay Ghichare, who is also the president of the Vidarbha Karate Association. According to his instructor, Raghav is now qualified to be listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Thus far, the small master has logged three records. The first was on December 15, 2019, when five-year-old Raghav broke 125 tiles in a single minute. He then went on to make history in the next two years. Chakrasana has the second-highest stair ascent. The black belt holder completed 102 steps in that position in 1 minute and 51 seconds on December 5, 2020. On December 5, 2021, 7-year-old Raghav walked down the staircase in an upside-down manner, earning him his third feather.
