Railway housing of Ajni to demolish for Laxman Jhula
The office of Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone- IV and Ajni Divison of Traffic Control Branch will be demolished by Railway to Proceed the project for Laxman Jhula (Railyway Overbridge) at Ajni. The building happens to be on Railway land and a Notice has been issued to vacant the place.
Specially, the 27 shops spread from Kamble Square till Ajni Railway Overbridge were eliminated recently. Divisional Railway Authorities to advance 8-laned cable- stayed bridge. Two months prior, notices for termination were put forward to the shopowners.
The office of Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-IV and that of Ajni Division of Traffic Control Branch has been processing the project; the lane cable-stayed bridge is named Laxman Jhula.
According to sources, this new project, Intel Modal Railway Flyover is extended from Ajni Square to Medical Square. This Flyover might be on the lines of Ram jhula, situated near Nagpur Railway Station. Approximate cost for this 238-meter length of Laxman Jhula would be Rs 333 crore. This project was first proposed for the Hudkeshwar police station; however it could not be shifted.
The office of Assitant Commissioner had commenced the work from that building. At present they plan to construct two more floors at Hudkeshwar Police Station building for Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-IV.
Hereafter, Ajni Division of Traffic Control Branch remains to vacate the site, garden of Ajni Railway Colony will be removed leading to commencement of the new bridge.
