Relief for Commuters: Pardi Flyover Fully Operational from Thursday

Nagpur, India: The long-awaited new arms of the Pardi flyover, connecting Wardhaman Nagar and Wathoda Ring Road, will finally open for traffic on Thursday. MLA Krishna Khopde announced that with this, the entire Pardi Flyover project, including the Railway Over Bridge (RoB) and Railway Under Bridge (RuB), is now fully completed.
A formal opening ceremony will be held at 10:30 AM in front of D2D Super Bazar in Wardhaman Nagar. Several well-known figures, including Purshottam Malu, Govind Poddar, and Raju Agrawal, will join MLA Khopde to dedicate the project to the public. Just two days ago, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tested the new flyover arms in a trial run.
Pardi Junction, located on Bhandara Road, has faced serious traffic problems for years. The heavy movement of trucks from the Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) mega market in Kalamna and the Small Factory Area on Bhandara Road made the area extremely congested.
To solve this issue, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) took charge of the project. However, changes in the design and delays in acquiring private land caused the project to take longer than expected. Now, with the flyover fully completed, traffic flow is expected to improve, making travel easier for commuters.
