Relief for Consumers as State-Run Oil Marketing Companies Reduce Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices
State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) have announced a lessening in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders. Effective today, the prices of 19-kg LPG cylinders used for commercial purposes have been lowered. Delhi residents will now pay Rs 1,773 for a commercial LPG cylinder, down from the previous price of Rs 1,856.50. Similarly, in Mumbai, the price has been revised to Rs 1,725, while Kolkata residents will be charged Rs 1,875.50, and Chennai residents will need to pay Rs 1,937. These revised rates will be applicable for the month of June, with monthly revisions scheduled for the first day of each month.

However, on March 1, oil marketing companies increased the prices of both commercial and domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 350.50 and Rs 50 per unit, respectively.
In contrast, the prices of domestic cooking gas cylinders have not been altered and currently stand at Rs 1,003 in Delhi, Rs 1,029 in Kolkata, Rs 1,002.5 in Mumbai, and Rs 1,018.5 in Chennai.
