Influencer and RJ Simran Singh from J&K Dies by Suicide in Gurugram
India: Simran Singh, a well known freelance radio jockey from Jammu and Kashmir, known as RJ Simran, was found dead in her apartment in Gurugram’s Sector 47. The police suspect the 25 year old’s death to be a case of suicide, though investigations are still ongoing.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Pradeep Kumar from Sadar Police Station, Gurugram, stated that Simran Singh, a radio jockey and social media influencer from Jammu and Kashmir, who had been residing in a rented house in Sector 47, Gurugram, died by suicide on December 25. The police were informed about the incident at 10:30 pm by Park Hospital, where the body had been brought.
However, the Gurugram Police stated that no suicide note was found in Simran’s flat, and her family has not filed any complaint against anyone.
The family stated that Simran had been dealing with personal issues for some time, which led her to take this step. They clarified that no one else was responsible.
Following a written complaint from the family, the necessary procedures were carried out, including a post-mortem on December 26. The body was then handed over to the family. ASI Pradeep Kumar mentioned that no case was filed.
The tragedy unfolded when Simran’s friend, who had been staying with her, discovered her body and immediately informed the police.
After completing the necessary formalities, the authorities handed her body over to her family for the final rites.
