Robbery in Lakadganj, Steal Valuables Worth Rs 20.85 Lakh

Nagpur, India- Two thieves stole cash, gold, and silver ornaments worth a total of Rs 20.85 lakh from a businessman's home in the Garoba Maidan area of Lakadganj.

The two burglars first examined the neighbourhood and later targeted the residence of Khemchand Dharamdas Amesar at Plot No. 456, R K Palace, near Hanuman Mandir Chowk in Harihar Nagar, Garoba Maidan, when they noticed the house was locked.

Amesar and his family were out of town. The thieves broke the lock on the door and sneaked into the house, they took Rs 7.05 lakh in cash and gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 13.80 lakh from an almirah. Amesar and his family returned home around 11:30 PM on Thursday and were shocked to find the cash and ornaments missing. They checked their CCTV footage and saw the two thieves smashing the door lock around 3:30 AM on Wednesday.

Amesar immediately reported the incident to the police. Officers from the Lakadganj police station arrived at the scene, reviewed the CCTV footage, and began searching for the burglars. Following Amesar's complaint, the police registered a case under sections 457 (housebreaking), 380 (theft), and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
