After winning the toss, Australia elected to bowl first. After losing the toss, India's opener and captain, Rohit Sharma, put on an outstanding display throughout the innings, scoring 92 off 41 balls with 7 fours and 8 sixes to help the side reach 205 with the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.
In reference to other players, Virat Kohli was unsuccessful in the competition for the second time. Suryakumar Yadav scored 31 off 16 balls, Shivam Dube scored 28 off 22 balls, and Rishabh Pant scored 15 off 14 balls. At 27 and 9, respectively, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja were still undefeated.
Australia fought hard in yesterday's match, even though India prevailed. Travis Head struck nine fours and four sixes en route to an outstanding 76 off 43 balls.
