RTMNU's Campaign Aims to Encourage More People to Vote
In Nagpur, the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) is taking steps to get more people to vote. They held an event at the Kavivarya Suresh Bhat Auditorium to spread awareness about voting.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) asked them to do this as part of 'mission youth' and 'mission distinction'. These missions aim to increase the number of young voters and encourage ethical voting.
Important people from the area attended the event. They included Dr. Vipin Itankar, who is the District Magistrate and District Election Officer, Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary, who is the Municipal Commissioner, Soumya Sharma, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad and District Nodal Officer, and Dr. Prashant Bokare, who is the Vice Chancellor of RTMNU.
The ECI wants everyone to know about voting and why it's important. They've asked schools and colleges in Nagpur to join in too. They hope that with everyone's help, more people will vote in the future.
