RTO Takes Action Against Four Private Vehicle Training Centers
Nagpur's City Regional Transport Office (RTO) has taken down four private vehicle training centres operating under the disguise of 'contact offices' or 'pick-up points' in various locations.
According to the Motor Vehicle Act, driving schools are required to conduct business exclusively at RTO-approved addresses. However, the RTO received complaints alleging that certain driving schools in Nagpur were conducting operations under the names of contact offices and pick-up points in unauthorized locations.
In response to these complaints, RTO teams carried out inspection campaigns in several areas, including Defense, Wadi, Hingna Road, and others. The following driving schools were found to be in violation of the regulations: Dikshant Driving School, M. Vazalwar Driving School, Adarsh Driving School, and Desai Driving School.
Consequently, the RTO has filed complaints against these driving schools with the local police, seeking appropriate actions against them. The enforcement of this action was led by Anand Mode, Yash Waghmare, Kunal Kuthe, and Venkatesh Sindam.
