Sadar police arrested a youth for possessing MD powder in Nagpur
Nagpur, India: Sadar Police arrested a young man and seized mephedrone (MD) powder, a cellphone, and a Honda Activa scooter (MH-49/AY-9031), with a total value of Rs 70,000.
The suspect, identified as Sunil Ajay Patel, 24, is a resident of Vrindavan Nagar, Sahu Mohalla, Binaki Layout, Yashodhara Nagar.
While patrolling near Mangalwari Bazar, a police team spotted Patel with his Honda Activa near Starkey Town in Sadar. They detained him on suspicion and discovered a small ziplock bag containing 2.8 grams of MD powder in his pocket. He was promptly taken into custody, and the contraband, scooter, and his cellphone were seized.
A case has been filed against Patel under Sections 8(c) and 21(b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The arrest was conducted by Senior PI Manish Thakre, PSI Nilesh Ghogre, and others, under the oversight of senior police officials.
