Saif Ali Khan Attacked at Bandra Home; Suffers 6 Stab Wounds, 1 Deep Cut Near Spine
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder at his Bandra residence early Thursday morning. He sustained six stab wounds, including two deep cuts on his back—one dangerously close to his spine—and a minor neck injury.
Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital around 3 a.m. by his son, Taimur Ali Khan, and their caretaker. Doctors have confirmed his condition is stable following initial surgical procedures.
“Mr. Khan was attacked by an unidentified person at his home. He suffered six injuries caused by a sharp object, two of which are deep, with one near his spine. A small foreign object was detected in the area and has been removed. He is undergoing treatment under a team,” said Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer at Lilavati Hospital.
The surgical team, led by Consultant Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, successfully removed the foreign object during neurosurgery. Consultant Plastic Surgeon Dr. Leena Jain is handling wound reconstruction, supported by anesthesiologists, intensivists, and radiologists.
Reports suggest the attacker primarily targeted Khan from behind during a confrontation. Authorities are investigating the incident to identify and apprehend the assailant.
Fans and well-wishers have gathered outside Khan’s residence and the hospital as the actor recovers under expert medical care.
