Sakkardara Police Crack Down on Vehicle Theft, Recover Stolen Bolero
The Sakkardara Police have successfully nabbed a vehicle theft case that occurred between August 26, 2024, 5:30 PM, and August 27, 2024, 8:00 AM. Shabbir Khan Gaffur Khan, 47, of Yasin Plot, Bada Tajbag, Sakkardara, Nagpur, reported that his Mahindra Bolero, registration number MH-49-D 2025, valued at around ₹1,50,000, was stolen from near his home. He had parked and locked the vehicle before the theft.
Following the complaint, filed under sections 379 and 34 of the IPC, the Sakkardara police team, led by Senior Police Inspector Anil Takasande, investigated the case. Officers visited the crime scene, conducted technical examinations, and collected crucial information. They identified and apprehended Ashfaq Sheikh Gaffar Sheikh, 50, of Kukda Wasti, Kotwali, Nagpur. During interrogation, Sheikh confessed to the theft. The stolen Bolero was recovered, and Sheikh has been arrested.
The investigation continues, with Sub-Inspector Bhalavi and the team playing key roles in the operation.
