Sex Racket Uncovered in Umred; One Woman Arrested, Victim Rescued

Umred, India: In a swift and strategic operation, Umred Police successfully busted a sex racket being run from a flat in the Jindal Complex on Nagpur Road. The operation took place on 20 April, following a tip-off received by the local authorities.
Police officials posed as customers to verify the illegal activity before raiding the premises. During the raid, one young woman was rescued, believed to have been forced into the racket.
A woman running the operation was arrested on the spot. According to initial investigations, she was allegedly paying ₹1,200 per customer to the women involved in the racket.
The accused has been remanded to police custody until 22 April, as the investigation continues to uncover more details, including possible links to a larger network.
Police have assured that further legal action will follow based on the evidence gathered and statements from the rescued victim.
