Sharad Pawar's Visit to Nagpur and Wardha Today on August 17
Nagpur, India: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar will visit Nagpur and Wardha on Saturday, August 17. He is scheduled to arrive at Nagpur's Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport at 8 AM. Pawar will first visit Hotel Radisson Blu to meet with party workers.
At 11 AM, he will attend a program organized by the Sarthak Foundation at the Vasantrao Naik Auditorium (VANAMATI), where he will honour social worker Dr. Rupatai Kulkarni, environmentalist Ramesh Yeole, and education expert Dhananjay Pakde. The event will be presided over by former Bombay High Court Judge Justice Bhushan Dharmadhikari, with former ministers Anil Deshmukh, Sunil Kedar, and Rameshchandra Bang also present.
Following the Nagpur event, Pawar will head to Wardha for a celebration at Yashwant Mahavidyalaya, marking the 75th birthday of educationist and ex-MLA Suresh Deshmukh. After the Wardha event, Pawar will return to Nagpur and then depart for Pune by private chartered plane.
Pawar's visit is significant as elections are anticipated soon. His presence in Wardha, following the recent victory of NCP candidate Amar Kale, is seen as a boost for local party workers. NCP members hope that Pawar's visit may lead to more seats for the party in Vidarbha for the upcoming polls.
