Signs and symptoms to look out for Menopause
Being aware of these typical symptoms can help women better handle this transitional phase, which is a significant chapter in their journey and frequently accompanied by a range of changes. A person's reproductive health ends at menopause.
"Women's bodies undergo tremendous physical and psychological changes during menopause, but these sudden changes can be overwhelming for many," said Dr. Madhulika Singh, Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Ankura Hospital for Women and Children in Pune.
Signs to look for Menopause-
1. Hot flushes- The most prevalent menopausal symptom is this one. Hot flashes are also known as "sudden waves of heat." One may feel uncomfortable and perspire a lot as a result. The typical duration of these heat flashes ranges from a few minutes to many hours.
2. Irregular periods- Women may notice changes in their menstrual cycles as menopause draws near. Hormonal changes in the body are primarily to blame for this. This implies that the flow may become lighter or heavier and the periods may become shorter or longer than normal.
3. Night sweats- In general, hot sweats and nocturnal sweats are rather similar. As the name implies, they typically happen while you're sleeping at night. It can be tough to fall asleep when one is entirely drenched in perspiration.
4. Mood swings- Mood swings are comparable to menopause. It is possible to experience profound sadness one minute and happiness the next.
