Speeding SUV Kills One, Injures Two People on Pipla Road
Nagpur, India- A property dealer was killed, and his two friends were seriously injured when a speeding Mahindra Scorpio rear-ended their motorcycle on Pipla Road early Sunday morning within the Hudkeshwar Police Station's jurisdiction. The deceased, identified as Shubham Sunil Ganer (30) of New Subhedar Layout, was with Rajat Hiralal Bele (26) of Udaya Nagar and Atul Vinayak Ramteke (31) of New Subhedar Layout, who both sustained injuries.
The three had gone to a dhaba on the Outer Ring Road for dinner and headed home on a motorcycle. Around 1:30 am, while passing through Pipla Road, a speeding Scorpio (MH-15/DC-9427) collided with their motorcycle near Residency Lawn. The impact threw all three off the bike, resulting in critical injuries as they hit the cement road. Hudkeshwar Police took the victims to a hospital, where Shubham died from his injuries. Rajat and Atul were admitted to a private hospital for further treatment.
An investigation has been launched, and a case has been filed against the driver under Sections 279, 338, 304(a), and 427 of the Indian Penal Code.
