Nagpur: Stray Dogs Attack and Kill Two-Year-Old Girl in Gumgaon Area Near Hingna

Nagpur, India: A tragic incident occurred in the Hingna police station area of Nagpur, where a two-year-old girl named Harshita was mauled to death by stray dogs while playing under a bridge in the Gumgaon area. The heartbreaking incident took place on Thursday afternoon, creating shock and anger among local residents.
Harshita, the third child of labourer Ram Singh, had accompanied her mother to the Gumgaon river around 1:30 pm, where her mother was washing clothes. While playing nearby, Harshita wandered under the bridge. When her mother finished washing and could not find her daughter, she began searching for her. Sadly, she discovered Harshita’s lifeless body soaked in blood, with a pack of stray dogs roaming around.
Upon receiving the information, the Hingna police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. A case has been registered, and investigations are underway.
This tragic incident has sparked fear and anger among local residents. People have urged the administration to take immediate steps to control the rising stray dog menace in the area to prevent such horrific incidents from happening again.
