Team WCL Samvad Earns National Recognition for Vigilance Awareness Efforts
Nagpur, India: Western Coalfields Limited's (WCL) sustainable communication team, Team Samvad, has received prestigious recognition from Coal India Limited (CIL) for its outstanding contribution to the Vigilance Awareness Campaign (VAW-2024). The three-month campaign emphasized preventive vigilance and fostering a culture of transparency and integrity.
At a felicitation ceremony in Nagpur, the award was presented to Senior Manager (Public Relations) Shri Asheesh Tayal and team member Shri Saurabh Wahane by WCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Shri Jai Prakash Dwivedi, Director (Finance and Personnel) Shri Bikram Ghosh, and Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Ajay Madhukar Mhetre, in the presence of General Manager/HoD Shri P. Narendra Kumar and other senior officials.
The WCL Board commended Team Samvad for its creative and impactful initiatives that significantly contributed to the success of the vigilance campaign. Their efforts in promoting ethical practices and preventive vigilance have also enhanced the organization’s image across the coal industry.
The closing ceremony of VAW-2024, held in Kolkata, was attended by key industry leaders, including Coal India Limited Chairman Shri P.M. Prasad, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathi, and Director (Finance) Shri Mukesh Agarwal. The event also featured participation from Shri Ravinder Kumar, Director of the Central Vigilance Commission, along with Chief Vigilance Officers from CIL subsidiaries and PSUs such as MSTC Limited and Hindustan Copper Limited.
