Teenage Girl Dies of Snake Bite While Picking Cotton in Hingna, Nagpur
Nagpur, India: A 15-year-old girl tragically lost her life after being bitten by a snake while picking cotton in a field near Hingna town. The incident took place in B Ramaraju's field at Ghuti Panjari village on Monday afternoon.
The victim, identified as Sunita Antarishi Deshmukh, hailed from Thakarwadi village in Nanded district but had been residing in Ghuti Panjari. Around 4 p.m., while working in the cotton field, a snake bit her on the right leg. Sunita lost consciousness, prompting her family to rush her to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Nagpur.
Despite immediate medical attention, doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival. Hingna Police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
