Teenage swimmer Dhinidhi Desinghu competed for India in the Olympics
The only other teenager representing India in Rio was Aditi Ashok, a golfer from Bengaluru. The swimmer Dhinidhi Desinghu, who is only 14 years old, is the lone adolescent representing India at the summer games in Paris.
She is from Bengaluru once again. Desinghu, the youngest swimmer participating in the games, finished 23rd out of 31 athletes in the 200m freestyle event for India. Her timing of 2:06.96 was not a personal best.
She is no longer with the Indian contingent because of Olympic Village regulations that demand athletes vacate the official accommodations two days after their trip in Paris 2024 concludes, but she is thrilled to be swimming in some of the world's greatest waterways.
Following her performances, Desinghu went to India House, the country's first Olympic hospitality house, for a meet and greet with the supporters. Due to her age and slightly reserved attitude in front of the cameras and the large crowds, the adolescent was quite well-liked by the viewers.
